Application Notes:
Students must live in York Region within Langstaff's IB catchment area at time of application. Please use YRDSB School Locator to check that you are in our catchment.
Be a student currently in Grade 8.
Registration Notes:
The York Region District School Board IB Programme application is completed centrally for all York Region IB Schools through the EDSBY platform. The central application is for offerings at Alexander Mackenzie High School, Bayview Secondary School, Dr. G.W. Williams Secondary School, Maple High School, and Milliken Mills High School, Emily Carr Secondary School (in candidacy), and Langstaff Secondary School (in candidacy).
During the application process, the YRDSB IB School serving your home address will be identified.
Application Process
Please be sure to complete the application during the application window. The application window for the LSS IB Class of 2031 (Grade 8 Graduating Class of 2027) is October 16, 2026 @ 9:00 am - November 12, 2026 @ 9:00 am.
We are not able to accept late applications.
We do not recommend any special preparation or study for the admissions assessment.
Be advised individual results/standings will not be released. Submitting an application indicates that you understand and will adhere.
