Course Selection

All course selections are completed using MyPathwayPlanner/Myblueprint.  

Students should use the following instructions for completing their course selections:

Login

Existing User? Visit Online Student Tools on the Board and school homepages. Click My Pathway Planner. Log on with your YRDSB Username and Password

 

Course Selection

From your Dashboard, click on the View Courses button that appears in the Course Selection box at the top left. The button will say Plan Courses if course submission has not yet been enabled at your school. You can also select “High School”

 

  1. Add courses for next year. In High School Planner, click + [Course].
    1. In the Course Selection and Details screen, explore the available courses.
    2. Click Add Course to Plan when you find the course you want.
    3. The Graduation Indicator will help you keep track of your progress. Click View Progress for a list of specific graduation requirements.
  2. Review courses. When you are ready to submit your course selections, click the Review Course Selections button and give your course selection one final look over. Make sure there are no “Warnings”.
  3. Online Course Opt Out. Beginning with every student who entered grade 9 in the 2020-2021 school year, students require 2 online learning courses for the Graduation Requirement. Families may elect to opt out of this graduation requirement.via form shared in May 2022 or now on myblueprint.. To opt out, click on “Online Learning Opt-out”. If you would like to select an online course, please select “Online Learning” in the Department/Discipline Tab.
  4. Submit Courses. – Once you’ve carefully reviewed the Details page to ensure that you are meeting the requirements for the courses you have selected and that the courses that appear are correct, click on Submit Course Selections. You will be prompted to enter a parent/guardian email to approve/reject your courses. This is a paperless process. Everything is electronic.
  5. Summer School. (Skip this step if you are not planning on taking a COMPULSORY course in summer school). If you are planning to take a compulsory course in Summer School, please be sure to:
    1. Complete the “Comment” section when prompted with “Issues/Warnings”
    2. Complete the linked Summer School Plans Google Form (see picture below)
    3. Only do this if you are SURE you will be taking this course in the summer. There is no guarantee you will get into this course in September if you change your mind.
  6. Deadline: Please check the website– Online submission only. No paper Sign-Off submissions required.
